The basic paternity test for 2-3 persons (test name: TIG-16) is very fast – result is obtained during 6-10 working days – and cheap – at a promotional price of 175 Eur (incl. tax; until tests’ promotion is abandoned). Exceptionally easy and non-invasive sampling of biological material, which is cheek swab, allows for individual (with the help of our instructions) sampling and sending of the material belonging to a child, putative father and/or mother, as well as for a completely anonymous examination.

 The sample for family relationship testing is a simple and pain-free buccal smear. There is no need for blood taking as DNA sequence found in cells of oral cavity mucous membrane is identical with the DNA in blood cells. Buccal smear is a perfect source of considerable amount of DNA needed for family relationship testing.
When genetic identification involves microtraces the sample genetic material could be a uprooted hair, visible and dry stain of blood or sperm or other substance of human origin, a used up tissue, soother, toothbrush and etc.

 However, in case of examinations required for judicial purposes, it is necessary to conduct an officially-recorded sampling of the biological material. We are waiting for you in BioTe21 Genetic Identification Laboratory, which is located at the Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology of the Jagiellonian University. It is where we conduct all genetic analyses (we do not send such tests to abroad laboratories, thus we are sure of strictly enforced confidentiality of all examinations’ results).

Prestigious, GEDNAP36 and GEDNAP37 international certificates for the genetic analysis of STR type markers, as well as the unique certificate of sequential analysis of mitochondrial DNA in varying regions of mtDNA-HVI and mtDNA-HVII, are quality confirmation of examinations being conducted.

Before testing please contact us by phone or over internet in order to: make an appointment for witnessed ? collection of biological material ( usually ordered by court) or order a package with Home DNA Test Kit (Bio-Test) which is a simple mouth smear.  We send the Kit by mail under given address. You can easily send it back to our BioTe21 lab after independent sample taking from yourself, a child or other parties. We would like to inform you that independent sample taking is not approved by court and the result, however identical with witnessed sample collection, is not a legal proof.

The Kit includes all essential items as well as stamps and self-addressed envelope – just post it and we will deal with everything. The testing can be done entirely anonymously (samples’ symbols known only to client) but it won’t be recognised as a proof in court.
